Purble Indrumists

Ladies and Gentleman, I have the distinct privileged of introducing you to the newest, officially done, member of the Summer Reading Program.......... MISS EMMA! Okay that may be a tad dramatic, but in our house it has been a huge deal. All summer we have been keeping track and writing down all the books we read. Emma knew one of the prizes was some "purble indrumists" and boy did that motivate her. We reached our goal and claimed our prizes! Her completed reading list! Great job baby! Emma and Harry got to put their stars on the window. Even now as I type this and look at the picture, I can feel her pride.
Harry was there too, and thrilled to pieces to eat a graham cracker through the whole thing.
Thank you to everyone who read to my children here at our home, at your home, and over the phone. We couldn't have done it without you!

Fingerprint Friday

My son was born 1 year ago today! How appropriate for Finger Print Friday. It's IMPOSSIBLE! I have come to the conclusion that a Mother can NOT be an atheist. Giving birth to a child is a miracle! What a spiritual milestone in my life it was to give birth to each of my children. Harry is 5 days old in this picture and Emma is praying with him. What a PRICELESS moment in time! "I can see the fingerprints of God When I look at you I can see the fingerprints of God And I know its true You're a masterpiece That all creation quietly applauds And you're covered with the fingerprints of God"

Fingerprint Friday

Okay this is my first Fingerprint Friday, I hope I do it right. I captured this photo just last week. While I love it because it's a picture of my two favorite guys, I also love it because Mike has no idea the effect he is having on Harry. Harry is so thoroughly enjoying the kisses and Mike has no idea, because his eyes are closed. It reminds me to think of the impact I have on others. Whatever I'm doing whether I am aware of it or not, I'm affecting somebody. I pray daily that as a wife, mother, friend, sister, daughter, stranger.....people will leave my presence having been affected by the Holy Spirit living in me.
I can see the fingerprints of god When I look at you I can see the fingerprints of god And I know its true You're a masterpiece That all creation quietly applauds And you're covered with the fingerprints of god +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Is that a hand or a camera?

Okay, I'm officially lost. I feel like I'm wondering around my house without my arms. Well, that may be a bit dramatic. The reason I feel lost is,,,,, MY CAMERA IS BROKEN. This may sound strange to some, but for me, It's a disaster! On average I take about 50 photos a day. More if we do something fun or if I have a project I'm working on. To say my camera is an extension of my hand is an understatement. Right now as I type this my son is napping with some of his foam tools and I want desperately to capture this moment, but I can't. This morning I made a headband to match Emma's Vintage Ballerina dress and I want to take a picture, but I can't. I don't even want to leave the house for fear I would want to take a picture. I want a new camera so bad, but I was hoping to wait for Christmas or my Birthday. How am I supposed to survive? Harry's Birthday is next Friday! Is it strange it pray for my camera????

Vintage Ballerina

I found this lovely vintage sheet at the thrift store about 4 months ago. I couldn't bare to cut it up until I found just the right project. It is super soft, which gave me the idea for some pj pants for the girls. Oh they turned out so cute. I appliqued some of the flowers onto a tank top to make a complete outfit. I just love how sweet they look in them. My husband took the kiddos to the Gym last night, and while they were gone, I challenged myself to make a dress for Emma in 1 Hour. Here is the finished product. She LOVES it!

Pregnant or Not so Pregnant?

Okay so I haven't blogged in a while. I have been basking in the Summer Sun, eating Popsicle, and spending lots of time with the family. Today when I was sitting pool side soaking up some rays I saw a woman with a really cute swim suit. As I was looking at the suit she turn to the side and UGH! I couldn't tell if she was Pregnant or just over weight. Now thats the type of inspiration I need to loose a few pounds. I was always proud of the way I looked pregnant, but i'm not pregnant so that look doesn't suit me anymore. Skinny High School girls can parade around me all they want and it doesn't bother me. I'm fairly proud of my body, after all it has made two children for me. But, OMG I sooo hope nobody looks at me and wonders if I'm pregnant, because I'M NOT PREGNANT! Mybe I should make a sign to wear around my neck??? Nah I'll just do a few extra crunches! PS: to the woman in the suit: If you are preggers, Congrats! If you are not,,, well thank you for the wake up call.
