Idea Board w/ Mod Podge Cereal Cans!

I have been working on revamping my crafting room and making it more useful and appealing. I have had this mirror in storage for about 3 years.
It used to hang in my daughters nursery. It lovingly held binkies, toys and hair clips for us.

But now it is MINE!
I covered the frame in some lovely Amy Butler fabric.
Exchanged the mirror for a piece of fabric covered cork.
Covered some old cereal tins with fabric,
Mod Podged over them and hung them.
So completely useful and pretty.
As soon and my son finishes some more baby cereal, I will have more tins to hang.
I adore making stuff out of garbage!

Formula cans rock! My husbnd thought I was crazy keeping them, but now I have them decorated pretty and they hold all sorts of stuff. Love the message board idea. I have an old window that I have been thinking about turning into a message board. I like the idea of hanging cans to have pens close!

What a great idea! I have been saving formula cans since my six year old was drinking it! I have a cabinet full, and I figured one day I would find something to do with them! Thanks for the great idea:)

This is ADORABLE! I love the board - a perfect place to hang inspirational photos, cut-outs from magazines, etc. I want to make one for my apt! If you love making things out of garbage, YAY!DIY coorespondent Alicia turned a healthy soup container into an adorable container that can hold things like lip glass, jewelery, paperclips, etc. Check it out: http://yaydiy.com/2010/02/a-soup-er-pretty-nightstand-holder/
Love your site!
